About

“Debra Fabian takes a fresh approach to jewelry design without being too trendy…I know that when I invest in one of her pieces that I will wear it for a lifetime. She exudes effortless style reminiscent of Coco Chanel.”

Debra Fabian’s career began as an intimate apparel designer in New York City. She is a graduate from DAAP, University of Cincinnati’s College of  Design, with a Bachelor of Science in Design, majoring in Fashion Design and a minor in Fine Arts. Although her background was in fashion design, her true passion is accessories, especially jewelry, having taken silver smithing, lost wax casting and enameling. While living in NYC she designed and sold jewelry on the side to  Manhattan boutiques. When she relocated with her husband to the Washington DC / N Virginia area, she turned her hobby into a business.

Her style is very feminine with a “modern vintage” or “classic with a twist” feel. Women love her jewelry because her pieces are sophisticated, elegant and handmade by the designer herself with attention to the smallest of detail. She loves the layering concept of wearing a couple necklaces at a time or a wristful of bracelets . She uses cultured freshwater pearls, semi precious stones, such as labradorite and tourmaline, sterling silver, fine silver and 14kgf. Fashion jewelry that is real! A fine jewelry line has been added to her collection in 14karat gold as well. Old and new mixed together is her “thing” – with inspiration from Coco Chanel for her “pearly pieces”, Debra’s paint and print design background for her colored gemstone pieces and throw in vintage  Miriam Haskell from the 1920’s.

Debra’s jewelry has been featured in DC’s In Style, In Style, Washington Post’s New Designers, Conde Nast Traveler for shopping in Georgetown, and ABC’s The Bachelor, Paris. Her collections can be purchased from her online store, Trunk shows at various east coast Bloomingdales and Hitched Bridal Salon in Georgetown.
